Summary

This recall affects approximately 28,000 ZLINE gas ranges with model numbers RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36, and RGB-36. The oven compartment of these ranges can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide during use, which poses a serious risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning. The firm has received 44 reports of carbon monoxide emissions, including three reports of consumers needing medical attention. These 30-inch and 36-inch ranges were sold in various colors and finishes at retailers including Best Buy, Lowe's, and The Home Depot between February 2019 and December 2022.

Risk

The oven compartment can release hazardous levels of carbon monoxide, a colorless and odorless gas that can cause carbon monoxide poisoning, leading to severe illness or death. This defect has already been linked to 44 reports of emissions and three cases where consumers required medical care.

What You Should Do

  1. The recalled ZLINE gas ranges include model numbers RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36, and RGB-36, which were sold in 30-inch and 36-inch sizes with various door colors and finishes.
  2. Identify your range by looking for the ZLINE logo on the bottom of the door and finding the model number on a label on the back of the range; for ranges bought after 2020, the model number is also located under the right side of the range top and is visible when the oven door is open.
  3. Immediately stop using the oven compartment of any recalled range until a free repair is performed. You may continue to use the range top burners, which are not affected by this issue.
