Summary

Approximately 235,000 Xtava Allure and Allure Pro 2200W ionic ceramic hair dryers are being recalled because they can overheat and catch fire. There have been 193 reports of the dryers or power cords melting, exploding, or catching fire, resulting in 18 burn injuries and two minor electrical shocks. These hand-held dryers were sold in black or white between October 2014 and August 2018. Consumers should immediately stop using these hair dryers and contact Xtava for a free replacement.

  3. Contact Xtava to receive a free replacement hair dryer by calling toll-free at 877-643-8440 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
