Wybot Robotic Pool Vacuums Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

Summary

Wybotics is recalling about 5,000 Osprey 700 Max and S1 robotic pool vacuums because the internal lithium-ion batteries can overheat. The company has received ten reports of these vacuums overheating or catching fire while charging and while in use, resulting in nine incidents of property damage. Consumers should immediately stop using these pool cleaners and contact Wybotics for a free replacement robotic vacuum.

What You Should Do

  4. Contact Wybotics at 888-991-5006 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, email safety@wybotpool.com, or visit www.wybotpool.com and click 'Product Recalls' to arrange for a free replacement WYBOT C2 robotic pool vacuum.
  5. Wybotics will provide a free return shipping label for you to send back the recalled unit; your replacement vacuum will be shipped within 15 days of the company receiving your returned product.
  6. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 if you have additional questions regarding this safety recall.

Consumers should stop using the recalled robotic pool vacuums immediately and contact Wybotics to receive a free replacement WYBOT C2 robotic pool vacuum. Wybotics will provide a free return label for consumers to send the recalled product back to Wybotics. Within 15 days of receiving the recalled pool vacuums, Wybotics will ship the replacement product. Wybotics is contacting all known purchasers directly.
