KTM North America, Inc. is recalling approximately 1,040 of its 2020-2022 1290 Super Duke R and 2022 Super Duke R EVO motorcycles. The main wiring harness on these bikes may have been misrouted or is missing essential parts, which can lead to damaged wiring and electrical short-circuits. This defect can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash. KTM dealers will inspect and repair the wiring harness installation free of charge.
