White River Marine Group is recalling approximately 2,164 Tracker Marine Trailstar TRL and Topper boat trailers from the 2024 and 2025 model years. The winch strap on these trailers can rub against a metal crossbar, which causes the strap to fray and eventually snap. If the strap breaks while the trailer is in motion, the boat could detach. To fix this issue, dealers will install a new roller kit that reroutes the strap to prevent it from touching the crossbar.
If a boat detaches from its trailer while being towed, it becomes a dangerous road hazard for other drivers. This significantly increases the likelihood of a crash, property damage, or serious injury.
