Summary

Wild & Wolf has recalled about 2,900 Petit Collage musical jumbo wooden xylophones because the red wooden ball on the end of the beater stick can detach. This defect creates a small part that young children can choke on. The recalled xylophones are shaped like an elephant and were sold at Barnes & Noble, Urban Outfitters, and online at PetitCollage.com between August 2017 and February 2018. Consumers should immediately stop using the beater stick and contact the company for a free replacement.

Risk

The wooden ball at the end of the beater stick can separate from the rod, posing a serious choking hazard to children. One report has been received of the ball separating and another report of the ball becoming loose, though no injuries have been reported.

What You Should Do

  1. Check the bottom back of your Petit Collage elephant-shaped xylophone for the printed text 'Petit Collage' and the specific code 'TT.1902.0617'.
  2. If your toy matches this code, immediately take the wooden beater stick (the stick with the red ball) away from children and stop using it.
  3. Contact Wild & Wolf toll-free at 855-215-5879 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday to receive a free replacement beater stick.
