Summary

Wholesale Fireworks is recalling about 1,700 fireworks, including Toxic artillery rockets, Boom Box aerial shells, and Detonator firecrackers. These products are overloaded with pyrotechnics that exceed federal safety limits for consumer fireworks. This defect can cause a much larger explosion than consumers expect, posing serious burn and explosion hazards. No injuries have been reported, and consumers should immediately stop using these products and contact the firm for a full refund.

Risk

The fireworks contain an excessive amount of explosive material intended for sound effects, violating federal standards. This overload can lead to an unexpectedly powerful explosion that may cause severe burns or impact injuries to those nearby.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled fireworks and store them in a safe, dry location away from children and flammable materials.
  2. Check your fireworks for the 'Toxic' artillery rockets, sold in a 6-pack hanging package featuring a red dragon and black flame on the label.
  3. Identify recalled 'Boom Box' aerial shells by checking for the name 'BOOM BOX' on the 5-inch tubes or shells, and look for UPC code 820151600047 on the top of the 6-pack box.
  4. Identify recalled 'Detonator' firecrackers by looking for the 'Detonator' name on the product; these were sold in 20-packs of brown and orange firecrackers (Model FP5) with UPC code 201615861653 on the back.
  5. Contact Wholesale Fireworks toll-free at 855-534-3473 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT any day, or email wholesalefireworkscheyenne@yahoo.com to receive a full refund.
  6. For additional questions, contact the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772.
