Summary

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling approximately 406,290 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels sold as accessories for 2016-2021 Civic vehicles. A manufacturing error can cause these wheels to detach from the vehicle while driving. Honda dealers will inspect the wheels and replace the hubs and wheels as necessary at no cost to the owner.

Risk

The wheels may physically break away from the vehicle during use. If a wheel detaches, the driver could lose steering control, significantly increasing the risk of a crash or serious injury.
