Summary

Doosan Bobcat North America is recalling 127 of its 2023 Bobcat PA185 and C185WD0-T4F portable compressor trailers because the wheel lug nuts may not have been tightened properly. This defect can cause the wheels to loosen or detach completely while the trailer is in motion. Owners are advised to stop towing these trailers immediately until a free repair can be performed by an authorized dealer.

Risk

If the lug nuts are loose, a wheel can detach from the trailer while it is being towed, which can cause the driver to lose control and significantly increases the risk of a crash. Because this is a vehicle safety risk, owners should not tow the trailer until the remedy is complete.

What You Should Do

  1. Stop driving or towing this vehicle immediately and park it until the recall repair is completed.
  2. Identify if your trailer is affected by checking the model name and production year for the 2023 Bobcat PA185 or 2023 Bobcat C185WD0-T4F portable compressor trailers.
  3. Contact an authorized Doosan Bobcat dealer to schedule a free appointment to have the wheel lug nuts inspected and tightened to the correct specifications.
  4. If you have additional questions, contact Doosan Bobcat customer service at 1-800-633-5206 and mention recall number 5-24-10.
  5. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.

Your Remedy Options

๐Ÿ”งFree Repair

Dealers will tighten the wheel lug nuts free of charge.

How to: Contact an authorized dealer to have the lug nuts tightened and do not tow the trailer until this is finished.
