Doosan Portable Power: 2024 Bobcat PG25 Portable Generator Trailers Recalled for Detaching Wheels

Summary

Doosan North America is recalling 24 of its 2024 Bobcat PG25 portable generator trailers because the wheel lug nuts may not have been tightened correctly during manufacturing. This defect can cause the wheels to become loose and potentially detach from the trailer while it is being towed. Owners are advised to stop towing these trailers immediately until they have been inspected and repaired by a dealer. Dealers will tighten the lug nuts to the correct specifications at no cost to the owner.

Risk

If the lug nuts are loose, the wheels can vibrate and eventually fall off the trailer while it is in motion. This poses a significant risk of a crash and could create a hazard for other vehicles on the road. Owners must not tow the trailer until the repair is finished.

What You Should Do

  1. Stop driving this vehicle immediately and park it until the recall repair is completed.
  2. Verify if your equipment is affected by checking for the 2024 Bobcat PG25 portable generator trailer model.
  3. Contact Doosan customer service at 1-800-633-5206 to confirm your trailer is included in this recall and to schedule a free repair.
