Summary

McLaren Automotive is recalling 29 of its 2020-2025 600LT, 720S, Artura, GT, and GTS vehicles. The brake lines in these cars may have been routed incorrectly, which can cause the brakes on the wrong side of the vehicle to activate unexpectedly. This defect can lead to one of the rear wheels locking up while driving. Dealers will inspect and correct the brake line routing for free to resolve the issue.

Risk

If the brake lines are routed incorrectly, the vehicle may apply braking force to the wrong side of the car, causing a rear wheel to lock up. This condition can lead to a sudden loss of vehicle control and significantly increases the risk of a crash. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
