Summary

Weldon Division of Akron Brass is recalling approximately 1,959 Enovation Controls PowerView 700 touch screen displays. These displays, used in emergency vehicles, may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on entirely. Akron Brass will update the display firmware free of charge to resolve the issue.

Risk

If the display fails, it can prevent the activation of exterior emergency lights, fire fighting equipment, and other critical systems. This loss of visibility and equipment function increases the risk of a crash and can delay life-saving emergency responses.
