Summary

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) is recalling 233 of its 2024 FEC7K and FEC9K trucks. The chassis wire harness on these vehicles may have been improperly sealed, allowing water to enter the electrical system. This water intrusion can cause the electric vehicle (EV) system to shut down, leading to a sudden loss of drive power.

Risk

A sudden loss of drive power while the vehicle is in motion increases the risk of a crash. This defect is caused by water entering the chassis harness, which compromises the EV system's ability to maintain power.
