Summary

LiveWire is recalling 523 of its 2024 S2DM (S2 Del Mar) motorcycles because the Vehicle Supervisory Control (VSC) software may unexpectedly shut down the powertrain. This issue occurs when internal software voltage limits are exceeded, causing the bike to lose drive power while in motion. Owners will receive a free over-the-air (OTA) software update to correct the problem and prevent the shutdown.

Risk

A sudden loss of drive power while riding can cause the motorcycle to stall unexpectedly in traffic, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
