Summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling approximately 965 trucks, including 2020 TA Series, 2019 L Series Aerial Devices, and 2018-2025 Service Body, LS Series, and AT Series models. The Power Distribution Module (PDM 10) circuit can experience a voltage spike that damages the Transfer Case Control Module, which may disable critical functions like the rearview camera, rearview mirror, or power take-off (PTO) switch. Altec will install a protective diode on the ignition hot circuit free of charge to prevent this electrical damage.

Risk

A damaged control module can cause a sudden disruption in chassis functions, leading to a loss of vehicle handling, control, or braking performance. These issues significantly increase the risk of a crash.
