There have been four reports of people falling off these ladders, though no injuries have been reported so far.
The plastic steps can detach or become unstable during use, causing a person to fall either into the pool or onto the ground. This creates a dual hazard of impact injuries from the fall and the risk of drowning if the user falls unexpectedly into the water.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pool ladders and contact VidaXL for a full refund. VidaXL is contacting all purchasers directly and will instruct consumers to remove two of the ladder's steps and dispose of the steps and ladder in the trash.
