Summary

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 272,645 vehicles, including certain 2022-2026 F-150 Lightning BEV, 2024-2026 Mustang Mach-E, and 2025-2026 Maverick models. A software error in the integrated park module may cause the vehicle to fail to lock into the "Park" position when shifted by the driver. Ford will provide a free software update to correct this issue, which can be performed over-the-air or by a dealership.

Risk

The vehicle may fail to engage the park function, which can lead to an unexpected rollaway. This increases the risk of a crash or injury to people inside or outside the vehicle.
