Summary

Suzuki Motor USA is recalling 1,512 motorcycles, including 2020-2025 DL 1050 models and 2020 and 2024 GSX-1000S models. The upper headlight beam on these motorcycles is too bright and exceeds federal safety standards for light output. This excessive brightness can make it difficult for oncoming drivers to see clearly, which increases the risk of a crash. To fix this, Suzuki dealers will replace the entire headlight assembly at no cost to owners.

Risk

The headlights provide more light than allowed by safety regulations, which can reduce the visibility of drivers traveling in the opposite direction. This impairment of vision for oncoming drivers increases the risk of a collision.
