Summary

Chrysler is recalling approximately 185,251 vehicles, including 2023 Ram 1500 Classic, 3500 Classic, 3500 Cab Chassis, and 2023-2024 Ram 2500, 4500/5500 Cab Chassis, and Ram 3500 trucks. A defect in the steering column control module can cause the high beams to turn on when using the turn signals, or activate the turn signals when the high beams are used. Additionally, the turn signal may fail to shut off automatically after a turn. Chrysler dealers will update the control module software and replace the module if necessary at no cost to owners.

Risk

If your high beams or turn signals activate unexpectedly or fail to cancel, it can confuse other drivers or reduce their visibility, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
