2022-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid Recalled for Reverse Light Failure

Summary

Approximately 443,444 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles from model years 2022 through 2025 are being recalled because moisture can leak into the reverse light assemblies, causing them to fail. Toyota dealers will replace both reverse light assemblies and repair the wire harnesses at no cost to owners. This is a phased recall, and owner notification letters began being mailed in May 2026.

Risk

If the reverse lights fail, the driver's visibility while backing up is reduced, and pedestrians or other drivers may not be alerted that the vehicle is moving backward. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall affects 2022-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles.
  2. Contact an authorized Toyota dealer to schedule a free replacement of both reverse light assemblies and a repair of the wire harnesses.
  3. For further information, contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 and reference recall numbers 24TB06, 24TA06, 25TB06, or 25TA06.
  4. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov/recalls for additional information.
