Summary

Todson is recalling approximately 40,245 Concord-branded 360 Degree Rechargeable Light-Up bike helmets because they fail to meet federal safety standards for retention and stability. The helmets can fail to stay in place or remain secured during a crash, which can leave the rider unprotected. These black helmets were sold exclusively at Walmart stores and online from January 2025 through September 2025 for about $30. Consumers should stop using the helmets immediately and contact Todson for a full refund.

Risk

The helmets do not comply with mandatory safety requirements for positional stability and retention systems. In the event of a crash, the helmet may shift or come off, posing a serious risk of head injury or death. No injuries have been reported to date.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled Concord 360 Degree Rechargeable Light-Up bike helmet.
  2. Identify the product by checking for 'Concord' printed on the back of the helmet and looking at the white label inside the helmet for Model# 4767 and Ref# 5936-BL.
  3. Destroy the helmet by cutting off the black straps to ensure it cannot be used again.
  4. Take a photo of the helmet with the straps cut off and email it to 360concordhelmet@todson.com to obtain a full refund.
  5. Dispose of the helmet safely at a municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center because it contains a lithium-ion battery. Do not throw it in the regular trash or curbside recycling bins, as lithium-ion batteries present a fire risk.
  6. For more information, contact Todson toll-free at 800-278-2565 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit todson.com/360-concord-recall.
  7. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 for additional questions regarding this recall.

Your Remedy Options

💰Full Refund

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Concord Helmets and contact Todson for a full refund. Consumers should destroy the recalled helmets by cutting the straps off the helmets. Consumers can send photos of the helmet with the straps cut off to 360concordhelmet@todson.com to obtain a refund. Note: Do not throw this recalled helmet with a lithium-ion battery in the trash, the general recycling stream (e.g., street-level or curbside recycling bins), or used battery recycling boxes found at various retail and home improvement stores. Lithium-ion batteries must be disposed of differently than other batteries, because they present a greater risk of fire. Your municipal household hazardous waste (HHW) collection center may accept this recalled lithium-ion battery or device for disposal. Before taking your battery or device to a HHW collection center, contact that office ahead of time and ask whether it accepts lithium-ion batteries. If it does not, contact your municipality for further guidance. You can also visit Todson.com/360-concord-recall for more information on potential disposal locations.
