Summary

Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is recalling 1,742 Firestone Destination LE3 tires in size 265/70R17. A manufacturing issue may have caused a component called the belt edge insert to be placed incorrectly, which reduces the durability of the tire. This defect can cause the tire tread to separate, and authorized dealers will replace the affected tires for free.

Risk

If the tread separates from the tire while driving, it can cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
