Summary

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. is recalling approximately 340 model year 2025-2026 GT1 and GH1, and 2026 GH2 motorhomes. These vehicles have Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) labels that list an incorrect number of seating positions equipped with seat belts. This error can lead to more passengers being carried than there are safety restraints available. Tiffin will mail corrected labels to affected owners free of charge.

Risk

If a vehicle carries more passengers than available seat belts due to the incorrect label, those unbelted passengers will not be properly restrained during a crash, significantly increasing their risk of serious injury.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your motorhome's Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label to see if the number of seat belt positions matches the actual equipment in your vehicle.
  2. If you own an affected GT1, GH1, or GH2 motorhome, look for a notification letter from Tiffin Motorhomes that was mailed starting around April 2, 2026.
  3. Once you receive the corrected labels in the mail from Tiffin, apply them to your vehicle as instructed in the mailing.
  4. If you have questions or have not received a label, contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 and reference recall number TIF-147.
  5. You may also verify if your specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is affected by searching the NHTSA website beginning May 15, 2026.
  6. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional information.
