Nissan North America, Inc.: 2020-2022 Sentra Recalled for Steering Tie Rod Failure

What You Should Do

1. Identify if your vehicle is affected by checking if you own a 2020-2022 Nissan Sentra. You can verify your VIN at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls or by calling Nissan customer service.
2. Immediately check for warning signs such as a steering wheel that is off-center or unusual vibrations while driving.
3. If you experience steering vibration or an off-center steering wheel, contact your local Nissan dealer immediately to request transport assistance for your vehicle.
4. Schedule a service appointment with an authorized Nissan dealer. As an interim repair, dealers will inspect and replace any currently bent or broken tie rods free of charge.
5. Once newly designed parts are available, you will need to return to the dealer to have both the left and right tie rods replaced with the updated design at no cost to you.
