Summary

The James Trading Group is recalling about 1,200 Croker Kids Ireland Sports Hoodies because they have a drawstring around the neck area. These drawstrings can get caught or tangled on playground equipment, handrails, or moving objects like school bus doors, posing a serious strangulation or entanglement hazard to children. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The green, white, and blue hoodies were sold at Irish boutiques, specialty retail stores, and online from November 2012 through August 2015.

Risk

The neck drawstring can become snagged on fixed objects like slides or moving objects like vehicle doors, which can lead to a child being strangled or dangerously entangled.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your child's hoodie for the model number IR6012 on the hang tag and look for the brand name 'Croker' on the inside neck label.
  2. Identify the affected garment: a green, white, and blue hoodie with 'Ireland' printed in white across the chest and three shamrock logos on the bottom left side.
  3. Immediately take the recalled hoodie away from children.
  4. Remove the drawstring from the hoodie to eliminate the strangulation hazard, or return the garment to the place of purchase for a full refund.
  5. For more information, contact The James Trading Group at 800-541-5004 between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.thejtg.com and click on the Recall tab.
  6. Call the CPSC Hotline at 800-638-2772 for additional questions regarding this recall.
