Summary

Swimwear Anywhere is recalling about 210 Little Marc Jacobs girl's hooded pull-over swimwear cover-up jackets because they have drawstrings around the neck area. These drawstrings can become entangled or caught on playground equipment, handrails, or school bus doors, posing a significant strangulation hazard to children. The 100% cotton navy jackets feature red flowers, teal leaves, and a teal bunny appliqué. They were sold nationwide and online between January and July 2014.

Risk

The drawstring located in the neck area of the jacket can get caught on various objects like slides or vehicle doors, which can lead to a child being strangled or seriously entangled. No injuries have been reported yet.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your child's jacket for the black sewn-in label at the center back to see if it lists style number LM28616 and Lot #1.
  2. Verify if the jacket is a navy blue hooded pull-over with red flowers, teal leaves, a teal bunny appliqué, and two buttons on the front, in sizes 2 through 12.
  3. Immediately take the jacket away from children to prevent use.
  4. You can choose to permanently remove the drawstring from the jacket yourself to eliminate the hazard.
  5. Alternatively, return the jacket to the place of purchase for a full refund.
  6. Contact Swimwear Anywhere at (800) 647-6335 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit www.swimwearanywhere.com and click on the 'Recall' tab for more information.
