Summary

Terberg Benschop B.V. is recalling 3 model year 2021-2022 YT193 terminal tractors. Paint on the steering linkage mounting surface can wear away over time, which may cause the mounting bolt to loosen or break. If this occurs, the vehicle can suffer a complete loss of steering control, and dealers will clean and reassemble the steering linkage free of charge.

Risk

A loose or broken steering linkage bolt leads to a loss of steering control, which significantly increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own a 2021-2022 Terberg Benschop YT193 terminal tractor by checking your vehicle identification number (VIN) or purchase records.
  2. Contact an authorized Terberg Benschop dealer to schedule a free repair. Dealers will disassemble the steering linkage, clean the mounting surface to remove paint, and reassemble the components.
  3. If you have further questions, contact Terberg Benschop customer service at 348459294 and mention recall number CAM0156.
  4. Call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional information.
