Specialized Vado and Como IGH E-Bikes Recalled for Fall Hazard

What You Should Do

1. This recall involves Specialized Vado and Como IGH e-bikes equipped with an internal gear hub (no rear gear shift) and a belt or chain guard, sold in various colors including black, limestone, red, sand, sea foam, navy, purple, white, gray, raspberry, umber, dark gray, and yellow.
2. Identify if your bike is affected by looking for the "Specialized" brand name on the frame and checking for specific model numbers printed on the black and white serial number label located on the underside of the bike's top tube. Affected models include COMO 3.0 IGH, VADO 5.0 IGH, and COMO SL 4.0; see the Affected Products section below for the full list of affected codes.
3. Immediately stop using the recalled Specialized Vado and Como IGH e-bikes until they have been repaired.
4. Contact your nearest authorized Specialized retailer to schedule an appointment for the free installation of a newly designed protective chain or belt guard.
