Summary

Arctic Cat is recalling about 3,260 snowmobiles, including model years 2014 and 2015 XF 7000 and ZR 7000 units. Fuel can leak from the fuel line assembly, which creates a serious fire hazard for the rider. These vehicles were sold in green, black, orange, and white color combinations at Arctic Cat dealers nationwide between June 2013 and August 2014. Consumers should stop using the snowmobiles immediately and contact an authorized dealer for a free repair.

Risk

A defect in the fuel line assembly can allow fuel to leak while the snowmobile is in use. If the leaking fuel comes into contact with a hot engine component or an ignition source, it can cause a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Immediately stop using the recalled 2014 and 2015 Arctic Cat XF 7000 and ZR 7000 snowmobiles.
  2. Check your vehicle's identification number (VIN) on the sticker attached to the chassis near the rider's right foot rest. All 2014 XF and ZR 7000 models (VIN 4th/5th digits '14') are included.
  3. For 2015 models (VIN 4th/5th digits '15'), check the last six digits of the VIN. Affected ranges are 100920 through 100993 for XF 7000 models and 100792 through 100919 for ZR 7000 models.
  4. Contact an authorized Arctic Cat dealer to schedule a free repair of the fuel line assembly. Arctic Cat is also contacting registered owners directly.
  5. For more information, contact Arctic Cat at 800-279-6851 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit www.arcticcat.com and select 'Customer Care' then 'Product Recall'.
