SNO PAC FOODS INC is recalling approximately 4,006 cases of Frozen Organic Spinach in 10 oz poly bags because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled spinach was distributed under the Sno Pac and maika'i brands. While the maika'i branded product did not reach retail stores, the Sno Pac brand was distributed to retailers in 12 states between April and July 2025.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, but the infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
