Summary

PACCAR Incorporated is recalling approximately 315 Peterbilt trucks, including certain 2024 Peterbilt 367, 2026 Peterbilt 548 and 589, and 2024-2026 Peterbilt 567 models. The rear brake piping assembly in these vehicles may have insufficient clearance, which can cause a loss of service brakes or anti-lock brake (ABS) functions. Dealers will install new brake hoses and correct the piping assembly for free to ensure the braking system operates safely.

Risk

The lack of clearance in the brake piping can lead to brake failure or the loss of anti-lock braking. If these systems fail while the truck is in motion, the driver may be unable to stop or control the vehicle properly, significantly increasing the risk of a crash.
