Summary

Volkswagen Group of America is recalling approximately 27,768 Audi vehicles from the 2025 model year, including several E-Tron, A6, and S5 variants. The automatic locking retractor in the rear seat belts may fail to engage properly when used to secure a child safety seat. To fix this issue, Audi dealers will inspect and replace the rear seat belt assemblies as needed at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Risk

If the seat belt retractor fails to lock as intended, a child safety seat may not be properly secured. This increases the risk of injury to a child passenger during a vehicle crash.
