What You Should Do

1. Confirm if your vehicle is affected by checking its VIN on the NHTSA website or contacting your dealer, specifically looking for 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV and 2024-2025 GMC Sierra EV models.
2. GM has indicated that all affected vehicles are currently in dealer inventory; if you are in the process of purchasing one of these models, verify with the dealer that recall N242489901 has been completed.
3. Follow the official remedy: "GM will tighten the bolt that attaches the center seat belt assembly to the rear seat structure, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory and, therefore, no owner letters will be mailed."
