Summary

Scott Fetzer Consumer Brands has recalled about 42,000 WAYNE WaterBUG GLOW 1/6 HP Multi-Use Pumps (Model WWB Glow). These residential submersible water removal pumps were sold at Home Depot stores and online from July 2019 through March 2021 for approximately $130. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pumps and contact the company for a free replacement pump.

Risk

Water can enter the pump's electrical circuit board and cause a short circuit, creating fire, burn, and electrical shock hazards. There have been 28 reports of circuit board malfunctions, including two reports of minor burn injuries.
