Scepter Gas and Oil Combination Fuel Containers Recalled for Fire and Burn Risks

Summary

Approximately 1,500 Scepter B62 gas and oil combination fuel containers are being recalled because they lack mandatory flame mitigation devices and child-resistant spouts. These defects pose a deadly risk of flash fires and could allow children to access the fuel, leading to poisoning or burns. The red, dual-chamber containers were sold on Amazon from December 2024 through August 2025 for about $36.

Risk

The containers lack required safety features to prevent flames from entering the tank and causing a flash fire. Additionally, the spouts are not child-resistant, creating a risk that children could open the container and be exposed to hazardous gasoline or oil.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your fuel container for the brand name 'Scepter' and the words 'Gasoline Danger' embossed on the side, and look for model 'B62' identifying the 6-liter and 2.5-liter dual-chamber design.
  2. Immediately stop using the recalled fuel containers and place them in a secure location out of the reach of children.
  3. Contact Canada Prep and Ship for a full refund. You will be required to write the word 'Recalled' in permanent marker on the container and email a photo of the marked unit in the trash to info@canadaprepandship.com.
