Summary

Sandoz Inc. is recalling 770,502 bottles of three different prescription ophthalmic (eye) medications because the package inserts are either incorrect or missing entirely. These medications—Bimatoprost, Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone, and Gatifloxacin—were distributed nationwide in 2.5 mL, 3 mL, and 5 mL bottles. Because these inserts contain vital dosage and safety information, consumers should verify their medication details immediately. Consumers are advised to contact their healthcare provider or pharmacist regarding the missing information.

Risk

The absence of correct package inserts means patients and healthcare providers may not have access to critical safety warnings, correct dosage instructions, or potential drug interaction information. This poses a risk of improper use of the medication or unrecognized side effects.
