Summary

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling approximately 1,149 of its 2023 Can-Am F3 and F3-S motorcycles because the rearview mirror lens can detach and fall out of its housing. This issue affects visibility for the rider and could lead to a crash. Dealers will replace the mirror assemblies with new units at no cost to owners. This recall expands upon a previous safety action taken in early 2023.

Risk

The rearview mirror lens may dislodge while the motorcycle is in motion, significantly reducing the driver's ability to see traffic behind them and increasing the risk of an accident.

What You Should Do

  1. Check your motorcycle's model and year to see if it is an affected 2023 Can-Am F3 or F3-S.
  2. Inspect your rearview mirrors for any signs of loose or rattling glass lenses.
  3. Contact an authorized BRP dealer to schedule a free appointment for the installation of new mirror assemblies.
  4. For more information, you can contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222 and mention recall bulletin 2023-9.
  5. If you have additional questions, call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
