Summary

Maserati North America, Inc. is recalling approximately 1,710 of its 2023-2024 Grecale and 2024 GranTurismo vehicles. A software issue in the Central Vision Park Assist Module (CVPAM) can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Dealers will provide a free software update to resolve this safety defect.

Risk

An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear visibility when backing up, which increases the risk of a crash or striking a pedestrian.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is affected by looking for a 2023-2024 Maserati Grecale or a 2024 Maserati GranTurismo in your records.
  2. Contact an authorized Maserati dealer to schedule a free service appointment for the Central Vision Park Assist Module (CVPAM) software update.
  3. Dealers will update the CVPAM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact Maserati customer service at 1-877-696-2737.
  4. Mention Maserati's internal recall number 761 when speaking with the service department.
  5. For further questions or to check your VIN, contact the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
