Summary

Lucid USA is recalling approximately 22,319 Lucid Air vehicles from model years 2022 through 2025 that are running software versions earlier than 2.8.0. The lower console display in these vehicles may fail to show the rearview camera image or may display an image that is delayed or inaccurate. Lucid has released a free over-the-air (OTA) software update to resolve this issue and bring the vehicles into compliance with federal safety standards.

Risk

A rearview camera image that fails to appear or displays delayed information reduces the driver's visibility when reversing. This increased blind spot significantly raises the risk of a crash or striking a pedestrian.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall affects 2022-2025 Lucid Air vehicles running software versions prior to 2.8.0.
  2. Check your vehicle's system settings to confirm your current software version. Lucid has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update (version 2.8.0 or later) to fix this issue automatically.
  3. If your vehicle has not yet received the update, or if you have questions regarding the installation, contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243 and mention recall number SR-25-04-0.
  4. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov/recalls for additional information.
