Summary

Oshkosh Corporation is recalling 216 of its 2025 Defense Next Generation Delivery Vehicles (NGDV), including the ICE 2WD, AWD, and BEV 2WD models. The rearview camera image in these vehicles may fail to appear when the driver shifts into reverse, which violates federal safety standards for rear visibility. Oshkosh will inspect the vehicles and replace the head units as necessary, free of charge.

Risk

A blank rearview camera screen reduces the driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This loss of visibility significantly increases the risk of a crash or striking a person or object behind the vehicle.

What You Should Do

  1. This recall involves 2025 Oshkosh Defense NGDV ICE 2WD, AWD, and BEV 2WD vehicles specifically identified under recall number NGDV_TSB_036.
  2. If your vehicle was previously repaired under a different recall (24V-928), you must still have it inspected as it may require another head unit replacement to fix this issue.
  3. Contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-800-830-3554 to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, a head unit replacement at an authorized service location.
  4. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for additional information regarding this recall.
