Summary

Nissan North America is recalling 37,236 vehicles, including certain 2024-2025 Rogue and 2025 INFINITI QX80 models. A software error can cause the rearview camera to display a blank screen while the vehicle is in reverse, which fails to meet federal safety standards for rear visibility. To fix this, Nissan will provide a free software update that can be completed either wirelessly over-the-air or at a local dealership.

Risk

If the rearview camera image fails to display while you are backing up, your visibility of people or objects behind the vehicle is significantly reduced, which increases the risk of a crash.

What You Should Do

  1. Confirm if your vehicle is affected by checking your model and year: 2024-2025 Nissan Rogue or 2025 INFINITI QX80.
  2. Check for an over-the-air (OTA) software update notification on your vehicle's infotainment screen and follow the prompts to install the update.
  3. If you prefer or if the update is not available wirelessly, contact a Nissan or INFINITI dealer to schedule a free software update (Recall numbers R24B3 and R24B4).
  4. For further assistance, contact Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261 or INFINITI customer service at 1-800-662-6200.
  5. Call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov for more information.
