Summary

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 295 Mopar rearview camera modules (part numbers 68598674AF, 68617886AD, and 68617887AD) used as replacement equipment. A software error may prevent the camera image from displaying on the vehicle's screen when reversing. Dealers will update the module software for free, or repurchase modules that have not yet been installed on a vehicle.

Risk

If the rearview camera image does not display, the driver's visibility behind the vehicle is significantly reduced, which increases the risk of a crash or striking a pedestrian.
