Summary

Kia America, Inc. is recalling approximately 100,063 of its 2023-2025 K5 vehicles because the left and right rear window trim pieces, known as C-pillar trim, may loosen and detach from the vehicle. If these trim pieces fall off while the vehicle is in motion, they can become a hazard for other drivers on the road. Kia dealers will inspect the C-pillar trim assemblies and replace them as necessary, free of charge.

Risk

The detached window trim can create a road hazard for other vehicles, which significantly increases the risk of a crash for following or passing traffic.
