Bentley Motors, Inc.: Flying Spur Vehicles Recalled for Projectile Risk from Entertainment Screen

Summary

Bentley Motors is recalling approximately 1,659 of its 2021-2023 Flying Spur vehicles because the rear entertainment screen brackets may have been installed incorrectly. These brackets, located on the back of the front seats, may fail to hold the screens in place during a collision. Bentley dealers will inspect the brackets in both front seats and replace them if necessary at no cost to the vehicle owner.

Risk

If the retention bracket fails during a crash, the entertainment screen can become a projectile inside the vehicle cabin. This significantly increases the risk of serious injury to the driver or passengers during an accident.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if your vehicle is affected: This recall specifically impacts 2021-2023 Bentley Flying Spur luxury sedans.
  2. Contact your local Bentley dealer to schedule a service appointment for a free inspection and potential replacement of the rear entertainment screen retention brackets.
  3. If you have further questions, contact Bentley customer service at 1-800-777-6923 and reference recall number RE23/06 (RC71).
