Summary

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling 17 vehicles including certain 2025 E 350, E 350 4MATIC, and E 450 4MATIC models, as well as the E 450 4MATIC station wagon. The camber strut bracket may have been improperly welded onto the rear axle carrier, which could cause the bracket to separate from the carrier. Owners are being instructed to stop driving their vehicles immediately until a free repair is performed by an authorized dealer.

Risk

A failure of the rear axle carrier can lead to a sudden loss of vehicle handling and control, significantly increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA advises owners to park the vehicle and not drive it until the remedy has been performed.

What You Should Do

  1. Stop driving this vehicle immediately and park it until the recall repair is completed.
  2. Verify if your vehicle is affected by checking the model year (2025) and model type (E 350, E 350 4MATIC, or E 450 4MATIC sedan/wagon) or by contacting your dealer with your VIN.
  3. Contact an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to schedule a free replacement of the rear axle carrier.
  4. Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the remedy has been performed. Dealers will replace the rear axle carrier, free of charge.
  5. If you have already received a notification letter (mailed January 22, 2025) or have further questions, contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 (refer to recall number 2024120015).
