REV Recreation Group: Motorhomes Recalled Due to Propane Leak and Fire Risk

Summary

REV Recreation Group is recalling approximately 1,540 motorhomes across several brands, including Holiday Rambler and Fleetwood, from model years 2021 to 2023. These vehicles are equipped with LPG (propane) tanks where the service valves may have improper thread depth, which can lead to a propane leak. Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves free of charge to resolve the issue.

Risk

A propane leak can occur if the tank valves are not properly threaded. If this leaking gas encounters an ignition source, such as a pilot light or spark, it can cause a fire.

What You Should Do

  1. Check if your vehicle is one of the following models: 2021-2023 Holiday Rambler (Vacationer, Invicta, Navigator, Admiral, Eclipse), 2021-2023 Fleetwood (Southwind, Bounder, Pace Arrow), 2021-2022 Fleetwood (Fortis, Flair), or 2023 Fleetwood Flex.
  2. Contact a REV Recreation Group dealer to schedule a free inspection and, if necessary, a replacement of the propane tank service valves.
  3. If you have questions regarding this recall, contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 and refer to manufacturer recall number 221222REV.
  4. For additional information, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) or visit www.nhtsa.gov.
