Summary

Autocar, LLC is recalling 909 of its 2022-2023 ACX (Xpeditor) and 2020-2023 DC (Legend) vehicles due to a manufacturing defect where driveline support hardware was not properly secured. If the powertrain driveline hardware is loose, the driveline can detach from the vehicle while in motion. Autocar dealers will inspect the driveline support bearing hardware and secure or replace it free of charge to resolve the safety issue.

Risk

A detached driveline causes an immediate loss of drive power, which significantly increases the risk of a crash. There is also a risk that the detached components could become road hazards for other vehicles.

What You Should Do

  1. Identify if you own an affected vehicle: this recall includes 2022-2023 Autocar ACX (Xpeditor) and 2020-2023 Autocar DC (Legend) models.
