Summary

Polaris is recalling about 7,000 model year 2022-2023 snowmobiles equipped with PATRIOT BOOST engines because the fuel line between the fuel rails can leak. The recall includes the Pro RMK Slash, RMK Khaos Slash, INDY VR1, and Switchback Assault models. Polaris has received 17 reports of fuel leaks, which can pose a fire hazard to riders, though no injuries have been reported at this time. These vehicles were sold at dealers nationwide from October 2021 through August 2023 for between $19,300 and $22,000.

Risk

The fuel line between the fuel rails can develop leaks while in use. If fuel leaks onto hot engine components, it poses a significant fire hazard that could result in property damage or serious injury to the rider.
