Summary

Polaris is recalling approximately 1,160 of its model year 2017 RZR 570 and RZR S 570 recreational off-highway vehicles (ROVs) because the front brake can detach. This defect can lead to a sudden loss of braking power, resulting in a crash or serious injury. The affected two-seat vehicles were sold in red, silver, and white from December 2016 through June 2017 for about $8,500. Consumers should immediately stop using these vehicles and contact a Polaris dealer for a free repair.

Risk

The front brake component can detach from the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and significantly increasing the risk of a crash and serious injury.
