Some lots of the product were found to contain Clenbuterol, a drug not approved for human use in the United States.

Distribution: A list of all customers of Pharmagenx, Inc., not just those customers who received Ventilean products, was supplied.  The firm''s president said that it was difficult to provide a list of only those customers who had received Ventilean products, so he supplied a list of all customers.  This customer list includes individuals as well as apparent vitamin and nutrition retail stores or distributors.  It appears that approximately 90% of the list of customers are individuals with the remaining amount consisting of retail stores or distributors.  Distribution is throughout the 50 United States.  There are a few shipments to individuals in foreign countries to include Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, Nigeria and Japan.

There are no apparent military accounts.  There are some sales to individuals who are identified as being in the military, however.

The firm''s management has estimated that there are less than 100 distributors.  The firm intends to contact only distributors, not private individual customers.
